Dear all,

 

Kelmeh Helweh is an initiative I created to give appreciation and gratitude to the medical staff and personnel and the armed forces risking their lives for our protection and health. In the midst of a plagued world, these people are at the forefront, fighting tirelessly for our security. Kelmeh Helweh also offers a platform to provide support for COVID-19 patients. In our life, we often take the forces working for our security for granted, and I felt that writing letters to these people could allow for more positive expression and gratitude towards them. 

 

In the 21st century, the art of letter-writing was lost due to the development of technology that allowed for shorthand communication. The beauty of letter writing is that it allows its author to integrate meaning and passion into the words they write for the recipient, and I believed that it would be perfect for our current health crisis. With this platform, now everyone in Jordan can provide words of encouragement and gratitude to give strength to the people fighting this battle head-on.

 

I believed that the impact of this initiative could be larger than COVID-19, so I collaborated with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center to allow people to write letters to cancer patients, while also giving them the option to donate to the foundation .

 

I’m also working with Sugar Daddy's Bakery, so people could write letters on events such as birthdays, Mother's and Father’s Day, and religious holidays, to bring back the beauty of letter-writing.

 

This initiative will continue to grow and expand as long as we have your kindness. Any letter, long or short, is greatly appreciated and is guaranteed to brighten people's day. It only takes a few seconds to type in a short letter! Please write a letter, and tell your family and friends to do the same!
